From the DJ booth

Read this before you plan the night.

Choose your MC carefully! Someone who isn't afraid of speaking and can create a "vibe": this ensures a great flow alongside the DJ.
We'll always be there before 9AM to set up. Please confirm setup times with the venue. Important
No need for an extra table for the DJ & Assistant: they'll happily eat at the DJ table while keeping an eye on everything technical.
Please confirm with the venue that there is sufficient power for our equipment.
Aim to start the ceremony around 3:30PM, perfect timing for photos while guests enjoy canapés, and prevents a long, hot, stretched-out day.
Try to avoid interrupting the DJ/dancing once the dancefloor is open.
Finish speeches and meal-times before opening the dancefloor. Important
Once the dancefloor is open, it's very cringe for the MC to stop the dancing for another announcement.
The DJ reads the crowd and matches BPM when transitioning; feel free to request, but don't expect a slow song right after a packed dancefloor banger. It'll ruin the vibe. Important
A thirsty, hungry DJ is an unhappy DJ. Our DJ & Assistant will NOT be drinking alcohol.
Choose an uplifting, upbeat chapel-exit song and reception entry song; ask us for suggestions.
Cold sparkler machines or confetti cannons beat low-fog machines every time.
Amber/warm white uplighting sets a better vibe than blue, red or pink, but it's always your call.

Once your date is secured, Robyn sends you the full questionnaire: your timings, your music and your room, so your DJ arrives knowing your day.
